The CS2 float range is 0 to 1

Every CS2 skin has a wear rating from 0 to 1. Lower float usually means a cleaner skin, while higher float usually means more visible wear.

The common wear labels are buckets inside that range: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred.

Common CS2 wear ranges

Factory New usually runs from 0.00 to 0.07. Minimal Wear is 0.07 to 0.15. Field-Tested is 0.15 to 0.38. Well-Worn is 0.38 to 0.45. Battle-Scarred is 0.45 to 1.00.

Some skins do not use the full 0 to 1 range, so always compare the item you are reviewing against similar listings for that exact skin.

Why float changes price

A low float inside a wear bucket can sell better than an average example. A clean Field-Tested skin near 0.15 may be more desirable than a rough Field-Tested skin near 0.37.

The premium depends on the item. Liquid, popular skins often show float premiums more clearly than slow-moving skins with weak demand.

How to use float in a deal check

Compare listings in the same wear and similar float band. If a listing has a special low float, do not compare it only to average copies. If the float is normal, do not price it like a collector piece.

Code Red shows float beside price, predicted value, live comps, and liquidity so you can decide whether the float actually improves the trade.
