Float value is more precise than wear
The wear label tells you the broad condition. The float value tells you the exact wear number. Two Minimal Wear skins can have different prices if one is much cleaner.
Float matters most when buyers can easily see the difference or when a low-float number is rare for that skin.
Low float is not always profit
A low float can support a higher price, but it does not guarantee overpay. Demand, screenshots, supply, item popularity, and buyer behavior still matter.
If the only reason a listing looks profitable is a huge low-float premium with no comparable sales, treat the deal as risky.
Compare the right listings
When checking CS float values, compare the same item, same wear, and similar float range. Comparing a rare 0.000x skin to an average Factory New copy can distort the result.
For quick trades, prioritize listings where the float supports an already strong price gap instead of being the entire reason the trade works.
Use float with ROI and liquidity
A float premium is easier to trust when the item is liquid and similar low-float listings have real buyer demand. Thin markets require more margin.
